Privacy policy

Plain English about the information we hold on you and your child, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Infinite Tutors Ltd (Company No. 14239382), Gloucester Road, London SW7 4SS, is responsible for the personal information described on this page (the “data controller”, in the language of UK data protection law). For anything to do with your data, email kaif@infinitetutors.org or call +44 7931 793164.

What we collect, and when

When you enquire or book a consultation, we collect your name, email address and phone number, plus whatever you choose to tell us about your child: their year group, their subjects, what is going well at school and what is not.

During the consultation we take notes, so that the tutor we choose for your child starts properly briefed.

If your child enrols, we also hold their name and age, their assessment responses and results, and the lesson reports and coach reports their tutor writes. This is information about a child. We collect it only with your consent as a parent or guardian, and we use it for one purpose: teaching your child well.

Why we use it

We rely on three lawful bases under UK GDPR:

  • To provide tuition: matching a tutor, planning lessons, writing reports, arranging payment. Basis: our contract with you.
  • To improve how we teach, by reviewing assessment and lesson data with names removed. Basis: our legitimate interest in doing our work better.
  • To send you occasional news about Infinite Tutors, only if you ask for it. Basis: your consent, given by ticking a box that is never pre-ticked and withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link.

We never sell personal information, and we never use your child’s data for advertising.

Who handles it for us

A small number of services process data on our behalf:

  • Our website host, which stores form submissions.
  • The platforms that host the Parent Dashboard and your child’s assessments.

Each is bound by contract to protect your data and act only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

If you enquire but do not become a client, we delete your details after a short period. For enrolled students, we keep records, including assessment results and lesson reports, while we teach your child and for a limited period afterwards, then delete them.

Your rights, and your child’s

You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold, correct anything that is wrong, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Older children can make these requests themselves. Email us and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first, so we can put it right.

Cookies

This site sets a small number of cookies that make it work, such as keeping forms functioning. Anything beyond that runs only if you accept it. You can change your mind at any time through your browser settings.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change materially affects enrolled families, we will email you about it as well.
