A-level

A-level tutoring that holds up under pressure

One-to-one A-level tuition for Years 12 and 13, in person across Kensington, Chelsea and nearby London, and online across the UK and worldwide.

A-levels demand more than any exam your child has sat before: deeper content, longer papers, and grades that carry a university offer. Our tutors strengthen subject understanding, rebuild study habits for independent sixth-form work, and prepare students thoroughly for the papers their exam board will set. All tutors are DBS checked and experienced across the major UK exam boards.

Who our A-level tutoring is for

Our A-level tutoring is designed for students who:

  • Made the jump from GCSE and found the depth of A-level a shock
  • Are capable but inconsistent, with classwork stronger than timed papers
  • Struggle to structure their own study without school doing it for them
  • Are retaking a subject and need a clear, honest plan
  • Hold an offer and need specific grades to keep it

Many families come to us early in Year 12, while there is still time to build the habits Year 13 will test.

The method

How our A-level tutoring works

Support begins with a free parent consultation, so we understand subjects, current grades, and goals before recommending a plan. Your child then completes the Infinite Learning Profile: exam-board-aligned questions that show what they know, and a short questionnaire that shows how they study, focus and remember. We brief their tutor against the Profile before the first lesson, and after every lesson your tutor writes a report you can read in your Parent Dashboard.

Sessions are structured, calm, and purposeful.

What sessions cover

  • Subject content, taught to the depth A-level papers demand
  • Essay structure and data-response technique, marked against real mark schemes
  • Study strategy: retrieval practice and spaced revision in place of rereading notes
  • The specifics of your child’s exam board: command words, paper structure, common traps

We identify patterns in mistakes and fix them systematically, week by week.

Steady through the A-level years

Predicted grades, UCAS deadlines and mock results give sixth form a pressure of its own. Every tutor is trained in the Infinite Teaching System by psychotherapist Hannah Kosky (MA, MBACP), so lessons account for the student as well as the syllabus: pacing for one who tires, steadying one who panics before papers, rebuilding confidence after a disappointing mock. If your child has ADHD, is autistic, or finds exams especially hard to face, see our SEN support →

A-level grades carry the university offer, and every tutoring plan is built around the grades your child needs.

Start with a free parent consultation

If you’re considering A-level tutoring for your child, the best first step is a free parent consultation: your child’s subjects, current grades, what the next exam season needs to deliver, and whether we are the right fit. There is no obligation to proceed after the consultation.
